No Mames
The manu at this place is mouthwatering especially their four exclusive tacos. You should must try the USA taco that contains buffalo cauliflower, cabbage, cilantro-lime mayo, and lettuce. There fries along with garlic aioli are also a delightful treat.
No Mames is exclusively a vegan restaurant however, it is inside the food court that has various non-vegan options as well.
Piyoli Punta Zicatela
The café provides vibrant and enchanting environment and opens at 8am every day. They sometimes stream live music that is a great experience. It is a good option for brunch and dinner. They have both vegan and non-vegan options that are clearly separated and labeled.
Their menu includes breakfast bowls, burgers, toasts, fresh juices, salads, sandwiches and much more!
Moreover, I would recommend you to taste the lentil quinoa burger.
Barrio Café
If you want to have a brunch in a stunning garden setting then must try Barrio Café. It also has vegan and non-vegan options and is a relatively calm place so you can have a coffee and read some journal or do some work on the laptop.

Playa Carrizalillo is located at the 15 minutes of drive from the La Punta. It is a good place for swimming because the waves are slow and gentle. To reach at this place from La Punta you may take taxi or colectivo and then you have to walk down the long stairs.
On weekends, Playa Carrizalillo beach is a bit crowded but still worth trying. Beach chairs are available at the minimal cost to sit and relax however, you can also sit on the sand and enjoy.
It is also a good place for surfing for beginners and surfboards are available on rent here. If you are totally unaware of the surfing you can also take surf lesson.
4. Swim with dolphins in the wild
If you like to swim with dolphins it is the best place. You can avail a guided tour in around $50 USD and they will pick you from your residence and guide you to the boat and provide the boating tour. You can jump from the boat to swim with dolphins or watch them from the boat. The dolphins are amiable and enjoy with humans.
It is really a life time experience that is highly recommended if you are good swimmer.
Getting around La Punta Puerto Escondido
There are various means of transport within this area that are cost effective.
Walking: you can walk around the town comfortably and go to the nearby places however, you need to take another mean of transport if going farther away.
Scooter or bike: You can rent out a scooter or bike from El Centro at affordable rates. If you plan to stay for linger then you can buy the one and resell it.
Collectivo: it efficient, easiest and cheapest option. You can get the one from main road of the Puerto Escondido. Wave them and get in the back side and pay few pesos once you reach your destination.
Taxi: it is also a good option here because taxis are cheap as compared to other part of the country. You can reach at your destination in 60 to 80 pesos.
Renting a car: it could be an alternate option but not highly recommended.
